Welcome to the Mission Athens Blog

Mission Athens is team of Christians working together to share the love of Jesus and to serve the world. We are supported by the Dollar Club, members of Central Church of Christ in Athens, AL, and fellow Christians from several other churches. Our purpose is to serve those in our community who are most in need. Our work includes helping the homeless, serving underprivileged children, supporting the elderly, and loving those who are lost in our community. Please join us in "being the church" in our town.

21 Children were able to receive Christmas gifts thanks to all your generosity.

20 Christmas Food Boxes were distributed.

Thank you for your support of The Haven!  We have more children than we ever imagined, and a long waiting list!  Our volunteers are also increasing!  2015 is the perfect year to get involved!

We are excited to announce our first ever official fund raiser-Magic In Your Heart. The entertainer has been booked (thanks to a generous donation) and the venue has been chosen. If you would like to make a donation of time, money or just purchase a ticket. Please contact us.

Thanks again for you continued support. We are looking forward to a blessed 2015!
